In honor of Gimmel Tammuz, One Mitzvah at Merkos 302 is empowering shluchim with a package of ready-made resources to make this day meaningful for their community through a dedicated Mitzvah appeal.
The Rebbe revolutionized the landscape of the Jewish world with a powerful message: just one mitzvah can be the action that brings personal, and global, redemption.
To date, over 5000 Chabad Houses and institutions, in over 100 countries, have been established predicated on this idea. Millions of Jewish lives have been positively impacted and billions of Mitzvahs have been performed due to the Rebbe, and with an increasing rate in the last thirty years.
This week, marking the significant date of Gimmel Tammuz, One Mitzvah at Merkos 302 is offering shluchim a bundle of ready-made resources to launch The Rebbe’s Legacy Mitzvah Appeal: a Mitzvah campaign to gift the Rebbe with a “cache of Mitzvahs.”
“In his final year, my father, Reb Moshe Kotlarsky A”H, launched a new project for every Chabad House to open a One Mitzvah Campaign—a Mitzvah raising mechanism that has seen hundreds of shluchim “raise” hundreds of Mitzvahs each, with hardly any effort,” says Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302.
For Shluchim who are hosting an event or farbrengen for Gimmel Tammuz, the One Mitzvah campaign package offers an online web page to raise mitzvahs at the event—like a fundraiser, but with mitzvahs. Additionally, it includes an inspirational video about the power of “just one mitzvah”, handouts with explanations, and banners (all customizable on Canva) for the evening.
